GOLD HILL, Ore. (MMD Newswire) September 7, 2010 -- Alzheimer Diary: A Wife's Journal by Michelle Montgomery offers the author's personal account of her late husband's 10-year battle with Alzheimer's disease. "After my husband was diagnosed, a friend suggested I start keeping a journal," says Montgomery. "Two years later, when things started getting tough, I began writing."

Montgomery admits that her writing initially began as an outlet to vent her anger and frustration with her husband's debilitating disease, yet after a year and a half, her writing began to reflect acceptance of her situation. About the Author
Michelle Montgomery and her husband, David Kent, lived and raised their three children in Southern California until they moved to a farm, Rock Creek Sheep, in Oregon in 1984. It was here that Kent was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2001and died in 2009. Montgomery, a teacher with degrees in philosophy and psychology, continues to work on the farm and write poetry and non-fiction.
