BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (MMD Newswire) September 7, 2010 -- Tales of the Dragonfly, Book I: In Tandem, the first book in a new young adult series by Tamara Ferguson, begins the adventures of childhood friends reunited to solve a mystery 20 years in the making.

Tales of the Dragonfly introduces readers to Jake and Danielle, two friends that, after troubled pasts and several years apart, are brought together at Dragonfly Pointe Inn in Crystal Rock where they met as children. Crystal Rock has a history of crime and mystery, and as Jake tries to rebuild his hometown, he and Danielle sense more strange activity and set out to uncover the secrets surrounding their historic meeting place.

Tales of the Dragonfly aims to deal with serious issues and stress the importance of being accountable for one's actions. Ferguson's romance and mystery novel tackles such mature topics as substance abuse, sexual abuse, teenage pregnancy, human trafficking and racism.

Ferguson seeks to present readers with a cast of unique characters and interesting storylines that lay the groundwork for the entire Tales of the Dragonfly series.

About the Author
Tamara Ferguson spent her academic and professional career in the fields of agribusiness and horticulture. She is a horticulturist for a well-known national lawn care company, and operated a home-based custom floral design company which also specialized in residential horticultural services. Ferguson has two sons and lives in Bloomington.
